Furat Gate Company for Trading, Contracts, General Transportation and General Cleaning Service Ltd. is a privately owned Iraqi contractor headquartered in Baghdad, with branch offices in Basra and Thi Qar and affiliated companies in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
We began in 2011 building base camps and oil-field facilities for LUKOIL, Gazprom Neft Badra, CNOOC and Petronas in the southern oil fields. Since 2017 we have become one of UNDP's most frequently awarded construction contractors in Iraq, rebuilding schools, water plants, hospitals and public spaces in liberated and under-served areas, and today we deliver full neighbourhood infrastructure programmes for EBS Petroleum, Badra Petroleum and Midland Oil Company.
Our team combines project managers, civil, mechanical and electrical engineers, QA/QC and HSE engineers, planners, surveyors, procurement specialists, supervisors, foremen and skilled welders, backed by our own transport licence and equipment.

Fifteen years of growth
- 2011 – 2012Design and build of base camps for LUKOIL (West Qurna-2) and Gazprom Neft Badra.
- 2013 – 2015Pipelines, oil gathering facilities, schools and health centre for CNOOC and Petronas in Missan and Thi Qar.
- 2016 – 2017Supply and services frame contracts for LUKOIL; first UNDP awards for school reconstruction in Anbar.
- 2018 – 2021Water plants, World Bank-funded network in Baghdad, and five COVID-19 isolation hospitals for UNDP.
- 2022 – 2023Al-Basra General Park and the first EBS Petroleum neighbourhood infrastructure programme in Wasit.
- 2024 – 2026Al-Mihowari infrastructure completed; Al-Amir streets, Badra, under way. Dubai contracting company established.
Organised for delivery
Every project is run by a dedicated project manager reporting to the General Director, supported by two functional arms:
Technical
Planning and follow-up, methodology, cost control, surveying, laboratory and testing, mechanical and electrical works, design and construction drawings, quantity surveying, site construction.
Logistics
Administration, HR, finance, transport, security and safety, materials administration and supply, equipment, repair and maintenance, commissioning and training.
Reporting follows client requirements: daily work reports, weekly progress meetings, monthly certificates and HSE performance statistics.
